Instructions for using StreeTAN ®
Use StreeTAN at the spotting board to remove these and other tannin stains:
beer soft drinks
coffee juice
grass tea
liquor wine
mustard
1. Apply StreeTAN directly to stained area of dry fabric.
2. Tamp with spotting brish or work gently into stain with spatula.
3. Flush with water or steam gun, dry, then continue the drycleaning process.
4. If scant traces of the stain remain, it may be necessary to repeat the procedure. If the stain is particularly tenacious and does not seem to respond, digestive action may be required before continuing the drycleaning process. See step five.
5. Sometime tannin stains require digestive action for complete removal. Old tenacious stains, and heat-set, exceptionally heavy, very large or unpleasant tannin stains can all be removed through the use of Devour® kiquid digester, For the Untouchables™.
Devour is extremely effective, but functions differently than other spotting chemicals. It is important to follow the special procedures and allow extra time for compelte digestive action. See the Devour catalog page or instruction card for complete details.
Please Note:
StreeTAN, with controlled acidic pH, is safe to farbics and most colors not affected by water or steam.
In the unlikely event of a color change on fabrics when using StreeTAN, the immediate application of StreePRO® will often return the dye to its original color. If color fastness is questionable, test garment in an unexposed area.

Seldom responding to a neutral spotter, the stains in this group often require acidic action for complete removal... but certain sensitive dyes may be damaged by products with uknown acidity. Heat facilitates stain removal but can increase the possibility of color damage. With StreeTAN, you can take advantage of the convenience of the steam gun without fear of over-activity. Unlike some tannin spotters, StreeTAN’s activitydoes not increase to damaging levels with heat. This simplifies your spotting routine because it eliminates the need to rinse the stained area with cold water before flushing with steam. Plus, StreeTAN is completely water-soluble, so it flushes easily and completely.
